What it knows grows with the community, and anyone can check where it comes from. Your questions stay yours.

Knowledge, corrections and skills

Shared knowledge

These are texts from sources with a clear licence, websites the admin adds for everyone with a documented reason, and the members' local knowledge. Before the AI writes, it gets the matching excerpts.

Checked corrections

If something is wrong, you write how it should be. Another device checks it, and then it applies to everyone.

Community skills

A skill teaches the AI a task, such as club minutes. Members write them in everyday language.

Your conversations stay with you. General questions help everyone, without your name.

Your question on the server

If your own PC answers, the conversation stays with you; only if it has to look something up online does a search term go out, without your name. What it reads there stays on your PC. If another device of the community answers, the question sits on the server until the answer is there, 24 hours at most. General knowledge questions and their checked answers we keep encrypted and without a name, so the next identical question is answered at once. Questions about yourself never go in.

The device that answers sees the text of the question, but not who is asking: no name, no address, no place. If you search your own files with "Ask your home", the search never goes onto the internet and never to a stranger's PC, only to your PC at home. The devices keep working when nobody is asking

Then the members' PCs deepen the collected texts: for each section they write a summary and questions with answers, and a second device checks them.

That way checked answers are ready before anyone asks. How an answer comes about is shown in How KIplatz answers.
