KIplatz is a community from the German-speaking countries: members who let their PCs help, report mistakes and build along. Based in Laakirchen, Upper Austria, server in Vienna. No corporation, no advertising.
With the big providers every question ends up in a data centre, and nobody can change anything when something bothers them. We want to show that it can be done differently: an AI that runs on its members' PCs, where no question ends up in a corporation's data centre and every report gets an answer.
Our home ground is the German-speaking world: Austria, Germany and Switzerland, with English as the second language.
Instead of a data centre, we are many.
KIplatz grows out of its community. My name is Philipp, I come from Upper Austria and I started KIplatz in 2026. I keep everything together, write every decision into the record and answer reports myself. Much of this work goes into security and privacy: questions stay on the server in Vienna, every update is signed, and no data is traded. I also run kialltag.at, a separate German-language site that explains AI for everyday life and work.

The program and the texts on these pages are made with an AI as a tool, the way others pick up a hammer. What gets built is decided by Philipp Rainer; he reads every page, checks every number and carries the responsibility. Every decision goes into our record, and what the first members report comes first.
Since September 2026 KIplatz has been growing step by step on the first devices of our own. On 21 September the community opened for talking, and in the workshop we collect ideas and reports.
A question, an idea, a mistake: we read every message and answer by e-mail, in English or German.
