What “private” means at KIplatz

Your chats stay with you

Your conversations and your memory stay on your PC or phone. The server keeps no chat history; only general knowledge questions are kept, encrypted and without names.

The server strips personal details

Before a question goes on, our server in Vienna removes e-mail addresses, phone numbers and account numbers from it.

Whoever answers does not know who asked

The PC that answers gets only the text of the question. It never learns who is asking: no name, no address.

Free means free, no catch

No paid tier

There is no plan, no subscription and nothing to buy. You earn credits by helping out; nobody can buy them.

No ads, no tracking

No ads appear in the app, in the program or on this website, and there are no tracking pixels. What you type is not analysed for advertising.

Sources under every answer

Under the text you see where it comes from. If something is in none of the sources, the AI tells you honestly instead of making it up.

Made in Europe

The community comes from Austria and the server is in Vienna, so the EU’s data protection rules (GDPR) apply.

The AI runs on the members’ PCs. That is why it costs nothing, and that is why it belongs to nobody alone.

Is there a private AI chat that is free?
Yes. KIplatz is free, with no paid tier, and your conversations stay on your own device. The AI runs on the PCs of its community, so no data centre has to be paid for with your data or a subscription.
Can I use the AI chat without signing up or logging in?
Yes. On this page you ask without an account, two questions a day. On your phone, the community answers 5 questions a day without an account. You only need a free account if you want to ask without a limit.
Does KIplatz train on my chats?
KIplatz learns only from general knowledge questions, never from who asked them and never from questions about you. A switch in the settings turns even that off for your account.
Where are my conversations stored?
On your PC or phone. General knowledge questions stay on the server in encrypted form and without names, so the next person with the same question gets an answer faster. Questions about you are never kept.
How do I know where an answer comes from?
Every answer lists its sources with a link underneath. You can check each claim at the source, and KIplatz says so when it cannot back something up.
Does it work in English?
Yes. Ask in English and you get an English answer. The app and the program follow the language of your device.
