Your PC becomes part of an AI

You know your graphics card by name and want to see what really runs on your PC. Then you are in the right place.

At KIplatz, the members' PCs work out the answers. None of them sits in a data centre. Yours could be the next one tonight.

A bright study with a PC and plants

Three things you only get here

Your graphics card answers for others

From 6 GB of graphics memory, your PC answers members' questions in seconds, without seeing who is asking. After every answer it measures duration, writing speed, temperature and watts.

Real measurements only, in the statistics.

Every connection visible

In the program, "Was verlässt meinen Rechner" (what leaves my computer) shows every connection since the start, where to and what for. No tracking pixel, no corporation behind it.

If you want to read along, add your own network tool.

An API on your own PC

Your own scripts ask the same AI as the window, in the OpenAI format, with a key, only on your PC. Open WebUI in Docker works too.

Examples to copy: For developers.

Your PC works for everyone, and you see every move it makes.

In a few minutes you are in

  1. Get the ZIP, about 30 MB, unpack it, start it. It needs no administrator rights and sits in your user folder.
  2. Set the sliders under "Rechenkraft teilen" (share computing). "Empfehlung übernehmen" (use the recommendation) is the safe start, but you may give more.
  3. Create an account, give your PC a name, and check the leaderboard the next day to see what it managed overnight.

Your graphics card has time tonight

Let it work for the community, watch what it gets done, and tell us in the workshop where we can do better. Whoever finds a bug is named next to the fix in "New in the program", if you want.
